Euroroute and Genexis announce Irish and UK partnership

Euroroute has become an authorised Irish distributor for Genexis, expanding access to the European broadband technology company’s fibre, residential gateway and connected-home solutions for Irish broadband providers.

The agreement, signed around Connected Britain 2026, brings together Genexis’s established technology portfolio with Euroroute’s experience, relationships and market presence across the Irish broadband sector.

Genexis supplies broadband CPE and connected-home technology to ISPs and network operators across Europe. Its portfolio includes fibre termination equipment, residential gateways and routers, Wi-Fi solutions and device-management software capabilities including IOPSYS/IOWRT and CloudSight.

Expanding Access to Genexis Technology

Through the partnership, Irish broadband providers will be able to access Genexis solutions through Euroroute, supported by local commercial and technical expertise. The companies see particular value in helping operators deploy modern CPE, improve in-home connectivity and simplify the management of residential broadband services.

The relationship also extends beyond product distribution. Genexis will participate in Euroroute’s Broadband-in-a-Box ecosystem, which brings together complementary technologies to support a more integrated approach to broadband deployment and operations.

When Does a Refresh Make Commercial Sense

A CPE fleet refresh does not need to be a wholesale replacement programme rolled out across all subscribers at once. The more useful framing is to identify the segments where the performance gap is largest and the churn risk is highest, and start there.

Subscribers on gigabit or near-gigabit tariffs who are running Wi-Fi 5 CPE are the clearest priority. They are paying for a service they cannot fully use, and they are likely to notice. New subscribers being provisioned onto FTTP connections should receive CPE capable of handling the full speed tier from the outset.

Business customers, power users, and households in high-device-density environments are also strong candidates for proactive refresh. Cloud ACS data can help identify these segments by device age, firmware version, connected device count, and speed test results all provide signals that indicate where CPE performance is likely to be limiting the experience.

Local Expertise for Irish Broadband Providers

Gerry Kierce, Managing Director at Euroroute, commented:
“Genexis brings a strong combination of proven broadband technology, innovation and experience across European markets. This partnership gives us another high-quality option to bring to Irish and UK operators, backed by the local relationships and support that Euroroute can provide. We’re looking forward to building the partnership and helping customers find the right solutions for their networks.”

Simon Higgins – Genexis country head of UK and Ireland, added:
“Euroroute has strong knowledge of the Irish and UK broadband market and close relationships with operators. We see this partnership as an important step in expanding our presence in Ireland and the UK and making it easier for broadband providers to access Genexis technology with local support.”

Supporting More Integrated Broadband Deployment
